Bisley video

This isn't that I do at Bisley in August but I have had a go at shooting 1000 yards, which is very simular to what is happening in the first video, not sure of the distance in this case but it could be anything up to 300 metres, as I think from what I can see, it is taken on century range and the second one shows the butt markers, who mark the shot or last shot so the you can see where you are shooting and adjust your sights accordingly, taking into account, at the very least the wind.

Follow that Reader

Put money on my account, It was slow, didn't think it was doing anything at first.

Scanning was fairily easy if you followed the instructions.

Not as good as it might be, should have made sure it was fitting the page and straight.

Wireless and moblie access

The laptop I used was my own, which I bought to do a course and have not used since, it has never been connected to a web site. I opened up and found libair and logged on without any trouble. I found the library home page and just for luck added it to my list of favourites. I also added the webmail address to favourites in case I ever take it away with me and wish to check my emails. This was reasonably easy but trying the ipodTouch wasn't so good, fingers to big so couldn't type very well and kept loosing what I was looking for, I presume because I was touching some part of the screen without knowing. Not my favourite toy.
I think it could be useful for some people being small and handy and can be used anywhere. Not having personally got on with it I'm not sure how effective it would be to students and professionals.

Wiki

Wiki is not so hard to use and appears easy to add additional items and comments, although how much it could be used in the library I'm not sure. Maybe for adding items for staff meeting lists as and when they come to mind, so that an agenda can be made from it, but not every person will look at it including me. I can see that there will in time be so many sites to check that quite a lot of time will be taken up just doing that.
I should think that for researchers in the same subject might consider it a useful tool, however, how much of their findings/results they are likely to give away is another matter. Publishing their own articles is surely what they really want and wish to get credit for. There is also the legal aspects which has to be considered if you collaborate and then publish. ( credit where credit is due)

Google Doc- Gardening

This document was very easy to create and sharing didn't seem that difficult, if I did it correctly
